probierz gate-install

Install the managed Probierz pre-push gate into a repository while chaining one existing unmanaged hook.

Invocation#

Shell
probierz gate-install <APP_ID>

Required inputs and options#

  • `<appId>` is required. `--repo` defaults to the current directory and must contain `.git/hooks`.

Output and state effects#

Writes the managed `pre-push` script, preserves an existing unmanaged hook as `pre-push.before-probierz-gate`, and returns installation metadata as JSON.

Exact refusals#

  • Missing application ID: `gate-install needs an app ID`; missing repo value: `--repo needs a path`.
  • A path without `.git/hooks` is refused as `not a git working tree: <repo>`.
  • The application manifest is loaded before mutation; an invalid app cannot install a hook.
